Sue Schofield - Education Manager

I am a qualified Social Worker and have worked with children and young people for over 30 years. My career includes front line child protection work, Children’s Service Manager posts in Local Authorities, the NSPCC and Barnardos. I have always fought against injustice, prejudice, and the promotion of individual rights. Show Racism the Red Card is the UK’s largest anti-racism educational charity, aiming to combat racism and religious intolerance through anti-racism education workshops message to children, young people and others and I am proud to work with such a fantastic organisation.

Ged Grebby – Chief Executive

Ged has a plethora of anti-racism experience from his time in the 1980’s with Youth Against Racism in Europe.

Ged managed a team of youth volunteers in charge of the campaign’s work in the North East of England responsible for education and fundraising.

In 1996 Ged founded Show Racism the Red Card and has now moved from Project Coordinator to Chief Executive.

Ged has overseen the growth and development of the campaign throughout SRtRC’s 25 history, establishing offices in Manchester, Southend-on Sea, Cardiff and Glasgow.

Overseeing all projects undertaken by the campaign since 1996, Ged has also represented the campaign at national and international levels.

Shaka Hislop – Honorary President

Shaka is a former Premier League footballer who played in goal for Portsmouth FC, Reading FC, Newcastle United FC and West Ham United FC.

In a career spanning nearly 400 professional appearances, Shaka also represented Trinidad & Tobago at the 2006 World Cup.

In April 2005, Shaka was named the inaugural winner of the PFA Special Merit Award for his services to football as a pioneer of the Show Racism the Red Card Campaign.

Shaka was the first ever player to get involved with Show Racism the Red Card and 25 years later holds the position of Honorary President with the educational charity.

He now lives in the USA and works for the sports news and broadcasting service EPSN.
